Lyme disease can be caused by several of the 20 different Borrelia burgdorferi genospecies. Furthermore, on a population level, patients tend to display heterogeneous immune responses to Lyme disease, making it challenging to capture the full range of potential immune responses in a single assay. Standard Lyme disease tests only employ one or two antigens, resulting in a high rate of false negatives and delayed diagnosis.
Using novel technologies, and peptide-based precision (120 epitopes corresponding to 37 Borrelia antigens), the Epitogen Lyme Tests dramatically improve sensitivity compared to existing tests on the market, without sacrificing specificity. We offer these Lyme tests in varieties to detect IgG and IgM antibodies and as either full ELISA kits, or solely the coated ELISA plates.
